ABOUT ABOUT

HealthBridge Chiropractic, Connor Barwin’s Foundation, Make the World Better (MTWB), and Urban Roots invite you to join us for the HealthBridge Chiropractic 2nd Annual Wine Tasting Event benefiting the public park redevelopment work of MTWB, Urban Roots, and partners. Proceeds from this event will support their second revitalization project, Smith Playground, located at 25th and Jackson streets in South Philadelphia.

The event will feature hand selected wines from regions around the world paired with complimentary dinner and dessert bites catered by Di Bruno Bros. Special guests will include Philadelphia Eagles linebacker and defensive end Connor Barwin and teammates. In final celebration, all guests will be given a featured bottle of wine from the evening.

In support of our City's youth and the communities that we serve, HealthBridge Chiropractic will donate all proceeds from this event's ticket sales to aid the work of Urban Roots, MWTB, and partners at Smith Playground in South Philadelphia. Building off of the success of HealthBridge Chiropractic's first annual event that raised over $15K for the Ralph Brooks Park Revitalization Project, these groups have continued to dedicate their efforts towards neighborhood development work and have seen first hand how public park improvements can positively transform a community. Smith Playground, standing on 7.5 acres, is one of the largest and most-used sites in South Philadelphia and regularly engages hundreds of youth and adults everyday, year-round, in both active and passive recreational opportunities.

Site renovations will include: Improvements to the Recreational Center building and adjacent play spaces, new sport court basketball courts, new turf football and baseball fields, installation of Green Stormwater Infrastructure by Philadelphia Water, new community murals by the Mural Arts Program, and a Fitness Trail programmed and designed by City Fitness with help from Avid Trails. Additionally, this site will hold over 160,000 gallons of stormwater from the park and nearby streets – enough to fill more than 3,000 rain barrels - aligning with PW’s Green City, Clean Waters initiative.

Your contribution and attendance is an opportunity to join HealthBridge Chiropractic in support of MTWB & Urban Roots and their proven track record in renovating public parks in partnership with the NFL Foundation, the City of Philadelphia, Tuttleman Family Foundation, and others in a joint mission to make Philadelphia a better place.
